World 8 Ball rules
Two tournaments will run simultaneously
One for men and one for Ladies
Saturday Play is Qualifying Day: Players are allocated to a table for the event. Everyone is guaranteed a minimum of 4 different opponents to play against in a one frame round robin format. The top players from each table will qualify for Day two of the Event. e.g.: if there are 100 players they will be drawn out randomly and placed in groups of ten on ten tables, everyone plays each player 1 game of singles over the day, the top four players to win the most games on each table move on to the Main Event on day two.
Sunday Play is Money Day the Main Event: The top 64 Men and top 32 Ladies qualified from Saturday Play will compete in a Straight Knock Out until a Men’s and Ladies Champion is decided. Round one Men’s Comp to the Quarter Finals will be a best of five, the Semi Finals a best of seven and the Grand Final a best of nine. Round one Ladies Comp to the Quarter Finals will be a best of five, the Semi Finals a best of seven and the Grand Final a best of nine.
Non-Qualifiers Competition: A knock out comp will be held on the Sunday for anyone who never made it through to the Main Event for an additional $10.00 entry fee, payable on the day.
